Wills & LPA Fees
Our fees cover:
- Will drafting
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Optional ongoing services (if selected)
Fees are confirmed in advance, include VAT where applicable (or state if VAT is additional), and explain when payment is due.
You are not obliged to proceed with any additional services.
Probate Fees
Indicative ranges:
- Simple estates: £2,000 – £5,000 + VAT
- Moderate estates: £5,000 – £12,000 + VAT
- Complex estates: £12,000+ + VAT

Somerset Accountancy Services Ltd is licenced by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales to carry out the reserved legal activity of non-contentious probate in England and Wales.

Provided by Somerset Accountancy Wills Ltd, a member of the IPW and operating in accordance with its Code of Practice.
PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE
Somerset Accountancy Services Ltd
In accordance with the disclosure requirements of the Provision of Services Regulations 2009, our professional indemnity insurer is Great American International Insurance (UK) Ltd, of Second Floor, One Temple Quay, Temple Back East, Bristol, BS1 6DZ.
The territorial coverage is worldwide excluding professional business carried out from an office in the United States of America or Canada and excludes any action for a claim brought in any court in the United States of America or Canada.
Somerset Accountancy Wills Ltd
Our professional indemnity insurer is JPM (Insurance Management) Limited trading as BEAM Insurance Solutions of 4 Harbour Buildings, Dudley Road, Brierley Hill, West Midlands, DY5 1LN.

Stage 1 — Our Complaints Process
All complaints must first be raised through our internal complaints procedure.

What happens next
- acknowledgment within 5 business days
- investigation by a senior team member
- written response with findings and proposed resolution
- option for a second internal review if required
We aim to resolve complaints within 30 business days where possible.
Stage 2 — Regulatory Review
Accountancy, Tax and Probate Services
Complaints may be referred to the ICAEW.
Wills & LPA Services
Complaints may be referred to the IPW, who operate an Alternative Dispute Resolution service (IPWADR).
Stage 3 — Legal Ombudsman (Probate Only)
If your complaint relates to probate services and has not been resolved through our internal complaints procedure and the ICAEW, you may refer the matter to the Legal Ombudsman.
