Senior Practice Accountant

**An exciting opportunity for an energetic and self-motivated Senior Accountant who will be responsible for managing delivery of high-quality accounting services to a portfolio of clients in various industries. You will also supervise junior staff members and assist in managing the day-to-day operations within your team.

Our goal is to provide premium accountancy services to our clients.
Your role will be to manage delivery of our full range of services to your clients, ensuring they receive timely and accurate accounting services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and preparing year-end financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns.
  • Advising clients on tax, accounting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Maintaining excellent client relationships.
  • Supervising and coaching junior staff members within your team.
  • Assisting with the preparation of clients’ budgets and forecasts.
  • Attending meetings with clients and participating in business development activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the practice.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax laws in the United Kingdom and ensuring that clients are informed about relevant changes.

To be eligible you will

  • Be a qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, or AAT & ATT with 5 years of relevant experience
  • Be technically competent in accountancy and tax
  • Strong technical accounting skills and experience in preparing and reviewing year-end financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns.
  • Be a good communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities.
  • Be a good team player with experience in supervising and coaching junior staff members.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax laws.

An opportunity for an a detail-oriented and highly organized bookkeeper to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records using packages such as Xero or Quickbooks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general ledger and record financial transactions accurately and timely.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial reports.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings.
  • Monitor and reconcile petty cash and expense reimbursements.

We are seeking a professional, friendly, and organized receptionist to manage the front desk of our business. The ideal candidate will have a contagious personality, excellent communication skills, a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and a strong work ethic.

The receptionist is responsible for the front desk of our business.
They serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and vendors and is responsible for ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all.

Greeting visitors and clients, answering and directing phone calls, and handling general inquiries via phone, email, chat, or in person.
Welcoming visitors, seating them in the conference room and offering them refreshments.
Scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and maintaining conference room schedules.
Calling customers to:

  • Request them to bring records required for their tax returns or collect records once work is completed.
  • Follow up approval of accounts / tax returns so that they can be filed.
  • Follow up on proposals / quotes
  • Schedule meetings such as year end accounts reviews and quarterly review meetings
  • Remind them about payments that are falling due or are overdue.

Maintaining and organizing the reception area to ensure a tidy and professional appearance.
Maintaining and organizing conference rooms to ensure a tidy and professional appearance after each meeting and at end of each day.
Making tea/coffee for whole team in office, usually 3 times per day.
Maintaining and organising the kitchen area to ensure that cups and cutlery are washed up daily to keep it tidy. Ensuring that supplies such as tea & coffee are replenished when required.
Coordinating incoming and outgoing mail and packages, including processing incoming deliveries and arranging outgoing shipments.
Assisting with administrative tasks such as scanning post, filing accounts and tax returns with HMRC & Companies House using Iris, data entry, filing, and organizing paperwork.
Assisting with other duties and projects.


  • Professional appearance with cheerful and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Working Conditions:
This permanent role is office-based at our offices in Somerton.
The receptionist will work at the reception area and may be required to work some evenings or weekends during busy periods.
