Accounts and Client Manager

An exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant who will be responsible for managing delivery of high-quality accounting services to a portfolio of clients in various industries. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who brings expertise in accountancy, tax and client service delivery. This role requires managing a client portfolio, nurturing client relationships, leading a team and business development, as well as the direct delivery of accountancy and tax services to clients. Your role will be to manage delivery of our full range of services to your clients, ensuring they receive timely and accurate accounting services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Service Delivery: As the main liaison for clients in your portfolio, you will coordinate the delivery of our full suite of services to clients, ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and foster long-term client relationships, ensuring their varied needs are met with our service offerings. Engage with potential and current clients to understand their needs, formulate proposals, and explain the value and pricing of our services.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team, offering guidance, training, and support to team members to encourage their professional growth. Oversee the performance and well-being of the team, ensuring a healthy and productive work environment.
  • Workflow Planning and Quality Control: Plan and distribute jobs and tasks within the team to ensure premium service delivery. Review team output for precision and quality, upholding the firm's standards of excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Hands-On Approach: As an active member of the team, you will also carry your own workload including preparation of accounts and tax returns as well as meeting with clients and responding to their queries.

Requirements for the Accounts and Client Manager role include:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 4 years relevant experience (preferably gained in an accountancy practice)
  • Demonstrable technical expertise in accountancy and UK tax with proven excellence in client service delivery and a high level of attention to detail
  • A strong record of client portfolio management with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Proven success in leading and developing a team within an accountancy practice including, mentoring and fostering a professional environment conducive to high performance and continuous learning.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be a pro-active person who is able to work on your own initiative
